Traditional Mansion at Saur Village
The 125 year old house belonging to the reputed Ramola family was abandoned and had fallen into serious disrepair from which state it was retrieved and restored successfully

Tucked into the timeless charm of Saur Village, this traditional mansion is a living archive of Kumaoni heritage—revived with care and designed with deep respect for the past. Thick stone walls, intricately carved wooden beams, and mud-plastered interiors echo generations of craftsmanship, while subtle upgrades ensure modern-day comfort.

Inside, each room tells a story—handwoven textiles, heirloom furniture, and alcoves lit by natural light create a warm, grounded atmosphere. The central courtyard remains the soul of the home, surrounded by rooms that open inward with a sense of belonging and stillness.

This mansion is not just a residence—it’s a preservation of place, memory, and culture, seamlessly merging vernacular architecture with mindful restoration.
